Besides Birmingham, Day 7 was mainly a nice drive through the country. There were no more fuel problems after using 93 Octane gas with Marvel Mystery Oil added. The temperature was the same as the day before so it must have been the gas + additive that made the difference. Even the hard pulls up in Chattanooga and the stop and go traffic in Knoxville didn't cause any problems.
